The Maharashtra cabinet has approved a new AI policy aimed at positioning the state as a major technology hub, with a planned investment of Rs 10,000 crore. The policy targets creation of 1.5 lakh jobs, training for two lakh youth, and support for startups and MSMEs

Aiming to turn Maharashtra into a leading hub for AI and digital growth, the state cabinet has approved a new artificial intelligence (AI) Policy. The move is seen as a major step towards the future, with a strong focus on creating jobs, training youth in advanced technologies, and helping industries adopt AI to grow faster.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday.
