AMSTERDAM, May 15, 2026 – With SPOT.i, SPOTICAR enables customers to engage in natural-language conversations powered by artificial intelligence, through a new AI-based search engine developed by Stellantis.
These tools transform a simple purchase intention into a concrete, personalized and immediately useful response, marking an important milestone in SPOTICAR’s digital transformation journey. Artificial intelligence allows SPOTICAR to go beyond the digitalisation of classified ads and to genuinely support customer new behaviours and expectations.
As one of the leading players in the European used-car market, SPOTICAR is accelerating its digital transformation through a pragmatic strategy that progressively integrates artificial intelligence into customer interactions. The objective is to adapt to evolving customer usage while strengthening the visibility and performance of its network, which today represents 3,000 points of sale across Europe.
Launched in September 2025, SPOT.i centralises data from all vehicles available for sale across the SPOTICAR network and integrates automotive expertise to optimise the used-car search experience. SPOT.i translates natural language into technical search criteria without relying on restrictive filters.
This represents another step forward in SPOTICAR’s digital transformation, making the customer journey smoother and enabling customers to discover a broader selection of available vehicles in just a few clicks on one of SPOTICAR websites across Europe.
What SPOT.i means for customers. It’s an AI-powered natural-language search engine available across Europe.
Developed in-house, this search engine allows users to freely express their needs in the search bar and refine them as desired. Since launch, more than 3 million searches have been performed across Europe, enabling customers to discover a wider selection of vehicles and generating increased, higher-quality leads for the retailer network.
In France, an experiment was also conducted on WhatsApp with a conversational agent.
Developed in partnership with Salesforce, SPOT.i currently includes a conversational agent available on WhatsApp in France. This deployment demonstrates SPOTICAR’s ability to test and roll out innovative customer experiences at scale, in collaboration with leading technology partners. The agent understands customer intent expressed in natural language, translates it into technical criteria and proposes a tailored selection of vehicles available in the SPOTICAR network, delivering an ultra-smooth customer experience and more qualified leads for points of sale.
Both initiatives are part of a broader development plan designed to move beyond simple digitalisation and fully embrace new customer experiences enabled by Large Language Models (LLM).
